Climate Change Experts Spar at UW-Madison Diversity of Thought Forum

Dr. Steven Koonin from the Hoover Institute spoke at UW-Madison Wednesday Night for an event sponsored by the Center for Research on the Wisconsin Economy (CROWE). Koonin wrote the book "Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn't, and Why It Matters" and a special report for the US Department of Energy on Climate Change. During the Q&A, Dr. Jonah Shaw, a climate scientist at UW-Madison, challenged Koonin's conclusions. Koonin pointed out that disagreements like that demonstrate the need for a forum where climate scientists can debate their ideas openly. He invited Shaw to write it all out so he could response thoughtfully and thoroughly.
